The Band
Marta Quinn
Founded in 2003 and directed by Marta Quinn, Cahersiveen ranks among the top Celtic traditional bands in the Sacramento region. Classically trained on piano since the age of 8, Marta has taught children and adults on the piano for over 30 years. She has performed with Cahersiveen in local Celtic festivals, pubs, churches, and at private events; and upon invitation, performed internationally at the annual Cahersiveen Festival for Music and the Arts in County Kerry, Ireland. In addition to performing with Cahersiveen in the USA, Marta has performed in many pubs with many bands throughout Ireland, located in Dublin (O'Donoghue's), Kerry, Derry, Connemara, Clare, Cork and Donegal, She has also performed in Scotland on the Isle of Islay, in Brittany, and in Canada on Cape Breton. Marta plays the bodhran, accordion, spoons, concertina and piano. Marta enjoys traveling abroad with her bodhran, spoons, and after eating her wheaties, her piano.

Ingrid Peters
Ingrid Peters is a unique violinist and vocalist who has built an impressive career in music performance, composition, improvisation, and education.
Classically trained since the age of 3, Ingrid has been involved in orchestras and musical productions her whole life. She is currently a member of the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra & Opera and the Sacramento Choral Society and Orchestra.
In addition to classical violin, Ingrid enjoys playing with many local bands in the Sacramento area. In addition to fiddle and vocals with the Celtic Band Cahersiveen, Ingrid is the founding member and leader of the Sacramento Philharmonic Jazz Trio, as well as the jazz group “Veranda Swing”.
